The background

Team GB is the brand name of the British Olympic Association, the National Olympic Committee for the United Kingdom. Its remit is to prepare and lead the nations nest competitors at the summer, winter and youth Olympic Games.

Challenge

Team GB wanted to ensure it had the professional assets to deliver an inspirational email program. It also had a particular need for additional resource on the ground to cover marketing activities, owing to the time difference between the UK and South Korea.

Solution

A role was devised between the CRM & fan engagement manager at Team GB and their dotdigital account manager. It was intended to be totally immersive so that both sides could garner value from the experience. dotdigital's marketing specialists attended training sessions which taught them the systems and programs they'd be using over a three week period. As well as a working document that was created to conceptualize content ideas for campaigns.
